ALTAR CLEANING

Help to clean sanctuary, sacristy and church areas, usually by a team of two people, on Fridays and Saturdays. Betty Canterna - 724-295-2972

ALTAR SERVER TRAINERS

CANTORS & ORGANISTS

Organists or keyboard players to provide music for masses and special events, cantors to lead the congregation in song. Jeff Polana - 724-295-3081

CHOIR

Parish choir open to adults and teens for Sundays and special events. Requires weekly rehearsals September thru June. Tom Koharchik - 724-889-3862

CHOIR (FUNERALS)

To sing at parish funerals. No rehearsals required. Helen Murphy - 724-295-2701

CHRISTIAN MOTHERS

Promote and support spiritual growth for women and their children and provide the women a means to grow through service. Judy Bergstrom – 724-353-2115

DLA (DIOCESAN LENTEN APPEAL)

Annual fundraiser for the Diocese and parish. Maryellyn Bale - 724-353-9006

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS

Ages 18 and above – Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to help distribute Communion at masses, including funerals, and willing to take Holy Communion to shut-ins. Fr. John Euker - 724-295-2281

FINANCE COUNCIL

Advises pastor for parish budget and extraordinary expenses. Jim Ebig - 724-295-2675

FOOD BANK

Freeport Food Bank distribution and collection of food for the needy in our area. Jim Ebig - 724-295-2675

FUNDRAISING & SPECIAL EVENTS

Helping with special events such as the parish picnic, Thanksgiving bingo, spaghetti dinner, etc. Geno Pernazza - 724-295-3505

LECTORS

Reading at mass and special services the scriptures of the day and the prayers of the faithful. Fr. John Euker - 724-295-2281

LITURGY TEAM

Members meet quarterly before each liturgical season to determine the hymns to be sung at masses and prepare for liturgical ceremonies. Bill Girardi - 724-295-4783

MARRIAGE FORMATION

Sponsor couples assist engaged couples through reflecting with them on church teaching and practical skills for healthy Christian marriage. Ray & Marilyn Smetana - 724-295-2604

MEALS ON WHEELS

Help coordinate delivery routes, prepare meals, or make morning deliveries to shut-ins in the local community. Mary Ann Miller - 724-295-0662

MONEY COUNTERS

Count money collected at masses, and to assign credit to the correct parishioners. Betty Canterna - 724-295-2972

PASTORAL COUNCIL

Advisory team to assist in the planning and development of parish living as directed by the diocesan “New Wine, New Wine Skins” program. Jim Ebig – 724-295-2675

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Provide religious education for Pre-K thru grade 8 from September thru May on Sunday mornings. Helen James - 724-295-4758

RETREAT CENTER/APOSTOLATE COMMITTEE

Members plan and prepare for adult retreats and days of recollection. Lola Bono - 724-295-2923

RCIA (RIGHT OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS)

SACRISTANS

Care for the altar linens, cloths, vestments, liturgical items, used in the church and keep sacristy in order. Helen Murphy - 724-295-2701

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL

Members meet weekly to plan, collect, and distribute clothing, furniture, and related items to the less fortunate. Also, members assist in operating the St. Vincent de Paul store. Ray Smetana - 724-295-2604 and Shirley  & John Tague – 724-295-1961

SENIOR WELLNESS

Assist over 55 with practical services and visits. Shirley Tague – 727-295-1961

SKILLED WORKERS

Workers are made up of any plumbers, carpenters, electricians, or self-proclaimed handy men/women who are willing to help care for the church and related buildings when the need arises. Andre Volek - 724-295-3835 and John Supik - 724-353-9102

USHERS

During weekend masses and Holy Days of Obligation and special events to aid in the seating of parishioners and collection of offering during services. Ray Ravotti - 724-295-9348

VBC (VACATION BIBLE CAMP)

Held once a year, usually the third week in July, in the school and parking lot. Pre K through Grade 6. Helen James - 724-295-4758

YOUTH GROUP

9th grade and above teen spiritual and social activities, bible study and participate in diocesan and national youth conventions and retreats. Beth Macurdy -724-295-9411
